It was interesting reviewing the different types of residential architecture. Here are some of my thoughts on this article –
Clean Green – as I have mentioned before, I really enjoy sustainable construction, so this type of architecture is interesting to me. I would like to do more research about the most common green features of houses. This shows a green roof, but I don’t know how common green roofs are in residential construction.
I did not really enjoy the Essentialism and Contemporary Glass designs, as they do not seem very warm and inviting.
I did enjoy the Modern Farmhouse, Local Modern, and Landform designs. I have always liked Farmhouse designs, with large porches and a country feel. I don’t always like modern designs – it depends on the furnishings. I do enjoy the clean lines and balance of daylighting, but would like to add more warmth with the right furniture.
