Sustainability in Construction

I wanted to share an article I just read, titled Accelerating The Clean Energy Transition With Cutting-Edge Cloud Solutions. It was interesting to learn that the construction industry is such a large producer of pollution and consumer of materials.  According to the World Green Building Council, construction generates an estimated 39% of the world’s carbon emissions.  Sustainability and being “greener” is top of mind for a majority of the construction industry.  I never realized that changing things such as logistics can have such a big impact on sustainability.  Reducing mileage driven for material deliveries in turn reduce emissions, and carbon footprint.  It was also surprising to learn that global renewable power capacity is expected to grow by 2,400 gigawatts between 2022-2027 which is considerably more than what was predicted just a year ago.   We need to continue to do our part to support sustainability planning and execution.
